Aleks goes to Diagon Alley, where she meets the family (all 30 or so!), gets galleons, and meets Madam Malkin.

Things start taking a turn for the odd.

Aleks bent down an picked up the ring. She held it out to Nessie. “Put it on.” Nessie put out a trembling hand and took the ring. She slid it onto her finger, and after a few seconds, dropped to the ground and held her eyes shut tight, her pointer fingers in her ears while her pinkies stretched out to hold her nose closed. James, Aleks, and Lyn jumped forward, arms stretched out to try and help, even though they couldn't. But they heard her whisper.

"No. Wait."

 Heather said. “Look at that grip!” It was clear what she was referring to; Teddy and the Slytherin Captain, Bergman, looked like they were playing Crush the Fingers.

“And they're off!” Kelly yelled. “Linvid grabs the Quaffle and flies for the Slytherin Hoops. Nice pass to Weasley V.” It was clear that she was referring to Victoire,” She passes to Cis Weasley, back to Weasley V, to Linvid, and GRYFFINDOR SCORES!” The crowds yelled. Heather took her turn at the mike.

“And Slytherin has the Quaffle!"

“I asked one of your older cousins to cast a spell to dry and clean me. They agreed when I offered payment of two chocolate frogs.”

“I don’t know how to tell you this, but you got ripped off. One frog should have been enough. One and a half, that’s barely reasonable. But two? You got played, girly.”
