Revenge

"Remus, were you crying?" Sirius gasped at his friends red eyes.

Remus shrugged.

"Hanni, your eyes are red and puffy, too. Were you both crying?" asked James, looking back and forth between Remus and me.

"Yes, James, we were crying because we were randomly throwing stones in the air and six of the stones hit your owl. She fell to the ground with a loud thump and didn't move for a full minute. James, Lulu is dead." Remus replied in an even voice and straight face.

I didn't know what to say. Should I say that I forgave him? Or should I say that it's okay? Do I even say anything? I, I just wanted to faint, to lay unconscious, to not have to answer. Or better yet, to wake up. To wake up from this nightmare. I, I don't want to have to be burdened with this. I don't want to know. Now I understand the saying 'ignorance is bliss'. To not know is better than knowing
