While Harry had always thought he'd like to someday have children of his own, he couldn't help but think that the smile he was practising was more pained than paternal.

"Okay, mate, we know you're not being completely honest with us," Ron said. "I won't bother telling you how offended we are and all that."

"He fell asleep in the sitting room," Jazz said shakily. "I carried him up to his room and put him to bed. When I went back to get him, he wasn't there."

"We'll find him," Harry reassured her. "He can't have gone far."

“Jazz,” Harry said helplessly. “I do realize that I’ve spent most of the last decade lying to you, withholding information and faking my death. If you can’t bring yourself to trust me, I completely understand that. But give the Aurors a chance to do their job. They’re very good at it.”

"She's hurting like mad," Hermione said. "You understand that."

"I do," Harry put his face in his hands. It was all too much. Toby. Ginny Jazz. At least he knew Ginny was safe. "I've got to find Jazz. I've got to find out what happened to her, and I've got to find Toby."

Toby gone. Jazz gone. Losing them both makes a lot of things very clear for Harry. First, however, he needs to think of a way to locate the missing children, then he can go about hurting the people he loves.
