It's the morning of departure for camping, and chaos reigns in both households. Albus tries bringing his entire comic book collection, whilst James knocks his mother down the stairs, and Ron spends the morning reading The Daily Prophet.

When they arrive at the campsite, Ginny and Ron are the only two awake and they set off to case the joint. When they return, everyone is setting up camp. That afternoon Lily gets stuck up a tree and James and Hugo collect, er, a bit too much firewood than necessary.

First off, James and Hugo race towards the car to check their reflection in its rear view mirror, and are not at all happy at what they see. Later that day the family spend an afternoon in the river, well, everyone but Rose that is, who finds herself in a sticky situation.

The missing kids are finally found, and Ron and Hermione spend the time afterward bickering about which trail they will walk that afternoon.

Due to the rain of the previous night, the campers wake up to find the campsite flooded. The five kids creatively make a raft, Hermione mistakes Hugo for a grindylow, Ginny gives Rose and Al washing up lessons and the contents of Hermione's book is revealed.
