“Does it hurt?” I asked Aurora, who sat across from with appraising eyes.
“No. It’s as easy as breathing.  You just know how to do it.  It’s instinctual.” 
I had never done it before, performed magic.  Aurora had started showing signs of her magic before her second birthday.  She had always been a quicker learner than I had been, but it wasn’t like that this time; she was magical, and though she tried to convince me otherwise, I was a squib, a pitiful, worthless squib who would never receive a letter from Hogwarts.
