“Go on, look” he urged her. Lily sighed again and looked out the window. From the Griffindor tower, she had a great view of the Forbidden Forest, lit up by the lights from the castle and the gamekeeper's hut. But something wasn't quite right...
 
 
 

 

This earned her several more giggles from Alice. “That's when you pull out your inner ninja and beat him up.” Alice giggled, but after seeing Lily glare at her again, she quickly said, “Oh, come off it Lily, it can't be that bad.”
 

 

“Thats really cool.” I said, surprised at how easily I could talk to him, once I got started. “What kind of plants do you grow there?”


 

“All kinds of things!,” Frank said, his face lighting up, “Snargluffs and Mandrakes and there's even a little pond with water plants. Maybe I could show you during break tomorrow?”
 

  Only James would do this. Right on cue, he walked up to me holding a rose. Merlin, he looked adorable... wait, no, this was James. “Lily, will you...” I didn't even give him a chance to finish asking me out before I smacked him in the face. Such a satisfying feeling. The idiot was too good at annoying me, and the fact that he was getting more extravagant didn't help.
