“Dinner at the Burrow tonight. Gram is throwing a party; apparently Teddy and Victoire have some news.” Al winked when he said the last bit. I rolled my eyes.

Hanging on the door was a deep blue dress, the same one I had worn in the summer recital just last week. The skirt (not tutu that; word makes me cringe) was fluffy and short, rising when I spun. The torso of the dress was strapless and form fitting.

I felt like a princess in that dress.

So I put it in my trunk.

My sock covered feet hardly made a sound on the floor as I crept through the halls, threw secret passages and fake doors, until I was climbing the steps to the North Tower, the one place in the school that no one ever used.

It’s ridiculous; really, how sometimes all you really need is for someone to say exactly what you’ve been thinking all this time.

Lysander is really good at that.

“Uh, yeah, you did.”

Bloody hell!

“Lily Luna Potter, language!”

“What time are you leaving?” she asked quietly.

“Eleven.”

“I’m going to miss you,” she whispered

“Merlin’s pants, they finally came to their senses!” Hugo yelled loudly as he rushed over, everyone else hot on his heels.

“You silly girl,” he said before kissing me softly.

“I trusted you!”
