This is where the story begins of the retaking of England and the role Ana Lucia Cortez had to play in it.

Fidgeting restlessly, Ana turned to Hermione and whispered, “How much longer?”

“The meeting only started twenty minutes ago,” she snapped.

“Sorry,” muttered Ana, refocusing on the meeting.

I stepped off of the small landing craft onto a small dock. I had arrived in Berwick to begin the invasion. The town had been secured and the army was forming. We weren’t expecting heavy resistance but we were ready to fight.

The night before, Mcgonagall had promoted me to one rank below Dunlap and to an equal position of power as Zachary Blackberg. My rank allowed me to have complete command of the invasion without any authority issues.

“We must send out ambassadors as quick as possible then,” pointed out Ginny.

Mcgonagall looked around her. “Are there any volunteers to take on this task? It will be dangerous.”

“Well played,” said a silky voice behind them.

We spun around in shock, not believing who it was. The witch grinned and said, “Oh come on, just because I’m in charge doesn’t mean I can’t have fun.”

“Bellatrix,” I spat.

“Behold the Washington Monument, the heart of the United States of America,” announced Turner proudly.

I was unimpressed. “Who was Washington?”

He looked hurt. “George Washington only led us to our freedom from Great Britain and was our first president!”

“Us?” I said. “He was a muggle, no?”

“Yes he was,” said Turner. “But we are still proud of him and respect him. It is why we chose the monument for our Ministry.”
