Wake up.  Breakfast in Great Hall.  Torment Slytherins.  Get rejected by Lily.  Receive detention.  Maybe study for exams.  Wait . . . something's wrong with that schedule.  Besides studying, that is.
 

James has the perfect plan to win Lily (he'll iron out the small details later), but he soon comes across two problems.  He needs permission to change from both the school and his parents.  Bummer.
 

The start of term feast.  Always something to look forward to.  Sadly, the last year for the Marauders also finds them one member short.
 

With a weekend to recover from his first day of classes, what will happen to our favorite Marauder during the first full week of school?  Oh yeah, we'll get to see how James copes with everything too.
 

While Derek Gardens might not be a Marauder, he's still an animagus.  And Remus still has more than one 'furry little problem.'  Oh, the joys of breaking the rules.
 

He did it!  James got that elusive date!  But now what?  He's never been on a date.  And Lily thinks she's going out with Derek.  He would have asked his Marauder friends, but they all have other things to do this day.
 

Alright, so winning Lily's heart is taking longer than James anticipated, so he now has to miss out on the first Quidditch game: Gryffindor versus Slytherin.  But that's okay.  No matter how much James misses the sport and wishes he were back on his broom, he would still rather have Lily.
 

Everyone in Gryffindor knew not to get between a certain blonde and a certain prefect’s pet rabbit. Now everyone in Hogwarts knows that they have to search the school. Over and over and over again. For a cute little bunny rabbit. Because no one wants to get on Danielle’s bad side.
 

Everything seems to have settled down around James.  He got over the hurtle of making Lily his girlfriend.  He saw Danielle survive her Quidditch meltdown.  All rabbit hunts have been canceled.  His friends have returned to their blissful, normal lives.  So what else is there to do?  Oh, right.  That.
 

With a Quidditch match and a Hogsmeade visit scheduled for the same day, it's sure to be a busy day for any Hogwarts student.  Add in the fact that the Christmas holiday begins the following week, this promises to be a busy day.  And it promises that almost no one will do a scrap of homework.
 

So the Slug Club party didn't go as planned.  That's okay, James still has all of Christmas and New Year's to get everything straightened out.  Right?
 

It was too good to last.  Too good to be true.  The truth?  How could James have thought this was going to be easy?  Those are only some of the thoughts haunting him as his brain kicks into overdrive.
