Self-destruction seemed to be the only resort from the dark images swirling in her head and clouding her sight, so she dug her fingernails deep in her palms, clearing her thoughts into nothingness.

The exuberance went quickly. Dull were the plates, insipid the once fresh odour as clouds were obscuring the newly revived sun and cast shadows over Elea yet again.
The same way the mountains of vapour in lofty heights detained the sunbeams to reach the castle and break through the glass of the windows, her memories caught up with her and prevented her breathing to become free, her heart to beat without aching in the instant, and her eyes to shine with ease.
