I gazed gloomily out of the window of the burrow, I couldn't help but feel utterly depressed. It had been two months since the war had ended or rather 60 days, I thought logically.

I winced as the doorbell went. This would be just as embarrassing as the previous eleven houses.

I felt my heavy eyelids lift, unveiling the room before me. It was unfamiliar, far flasher then where I was staying.
 
 

I had decided to remain in Australia during the two weeks until my Mother gave birth so that I could remove the memory charm as soon as possible. 

I couldn’t help feeling elated as I walked through the crowded streets of England with my parents. I was BACK! I had completed my quest and I was going back to Hogwarts in just over a month and in less then a year I would be a graduated witch!
 

After struggling to find an empty compartment on the train, Ginny and I luckily found the last remaining one in the last carriage, with a roar of triumph, Ginny steamrolled herself through a bunch of second years with hopes of getting that particular compartment too.

As I sat next to Ginny in the Defence against the Dark Art’s room, I turned in my chair, waiting for the new teacher to come through. After what seemed ages, the clicking of shoes on the stone floors was heard, the class quieted and everyone turned expectantly to the door. 

I owled my parents the next day, telling them about me  being Head Girl. I got their reply the same day. They said they were absolutely thrilled for me, but that it wasn’t really a surprise.

I don’t know why I didn’t tell Ginny right away about what had happened. I was going to, until I actually got to the Gryffindor common room, then I just, couldn’t.

I don’t quite understand what Hermione is doing… Making out with Malfoy.. He is the enemy, his Aunt tortured her. His family is bad news. So what the bloody hell does she think she is doing with him? 
 
 

My head was thumping painfully as consciousness came to me the next morning. I moaned unhappily and opened my eyes. The sun shone directly into them, my bed curtains wide open… Weird.. I looked around and saw that my shoes were dumped beside my bed, a lump under my pillow was my pajamas, on further inspection, I saw that I was still in my school robes. What had happened yesterday?

I was in such a depressed mood, Draco had told me it was over.. At least I had Ron, he was leaving today, but at least I could tell him, that I chose him, he was right for me, the safe choice, he would never hurt me, he would be reliable Ron. The guy I had loved since forever..

I was sort of relieved when everyone left for Christmas break.. I didn’t have any pretenses to hold. I could just sit in my common room reading and catching up with homework...

The days seemed to blur one into the next… Every day was perfect.. Draco and I were utterly doe eyed.. We would have to get inanimate objects thrown at us by Ginny for us to pay any attention to the outside world at all...

My eyes fluttered open before I snapped awake.

“WAKE UP!” Sing-songed Ginny, bouncing up and down on my bed. I moaned tiredly and threw one of my pillows at her.

“Don’t you want to get home?” She laughed, easily dodging it. 

“Wake up.” A voice chimed beside me. I groaned in protest and pulled my duvet over my head, this was unfortunately to no avail, as it was soon pulled off me altogether...

The following month passed in a blur of textbooks, caffeine and stress. I was an absolute horror to be around, but Draco and Ginny put up with my carry-on and stuck by me through my “study-for-exam-mode.”

"OW!” I squealed, flinching away from Ginny as she teased my hair into an intricate updo.

“Stop being a baby Hermione! This is going to look amazing when it’s finished.” She said in exasperation.

“Well… In my professional opinion, there’s nothing wrong with you.” Madam Pomfrey told me. I sat sat myself up in the bed and pushed the blankets off of me.

“So what’ll it be?” Madam Rosmerta asked.

“Can we please have a pumpkin juice and a glass of Peachtree fizzing tea?” I answered automatically, smiling lightly.

“Lucius Malfoy, you are under arrest on the suspicion of casting a memory charm on Miss Hermione Granger, you have the right to remain silent, anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of magic.”

“I want to talk to him…” I told Harry.

“I don’t really know if that is a good idea-“ Harry began. I silenced him with a look.

Here it was, the day I had been both dreaming of and dreading since my first day of Hogwarts, my graduation. It had been creeping up on us, slowly enough not to alarm until suddenly, it had just appeared right around the corner and now here it was.

“We’re going to be late!” Scorpius shouted from outside the bedroom door. Draco and I shared a bemused smile.

“Darling, it’s only quarter to ten now! We don’t need to leave for at least another half hour!” I replied calmly.
