Lindsey is awake now and finds herself at a boarding house for orphaned children who spend their summers awaiting the start of the new school year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. She even makes a new friend. However, strange things keep happening to her. She finds an enchanted object waiting in her room and had no idea how it got there or who gave it to her. 

 Lindsey is now at Hogwarts and is ready to be sorted. She meets new people, although some she likes more than others. She has interesting conversations with both humans and inanimate objects. 

  Lindsey experiences her first two classes at Hogwarts. The first one is enjoyable. She discoveres that she is growing fond of a teacher she initially did not like. However, her second class is rough and violent. She ends up in a situation that could be little more than predictable.

 As if detention in the Forbidden Forest wasn't enough wierdness to handle, the next morning brings new suprises and secrets revealed for Lindsey and James. The two find themselves in a troubling situation, which it seems they might be the only ones who can reverse.

 Lindsey and James set out to mop the Great Hall... and kill a horocrux while they're at it. More secrets about the past are revealed. Suspicions arise toward several people. Confessions must be made.

 Lindsey's weekend lessons with Grapplespunk commence. She finds that she is enjoying herself as much as learning on the weekends permits. Later that day, she is faced with a difficult situation. Whatever she decides, there will be consequences.

 Lindsey and James find themselves in detentin yet again after another incident. They find that they are forming a close bond as detention partners, quidditch teammates, and classmates.
