“Lily!” he shouted from behind me, I continued to run as fast as I could to the common room, tears were streaming from my eyes, blurring my vision, but I didn’t have time to stop. I hugged my books to my chest and ran blindly round the corners.

“Lily!” he screeched after me, I had a good few metres on him, if I continued at this pace I would be in the common room just as he was approaching the portrait: I was going to get away. Well I thought I was until I hit the wall.
 
 

 its quite a short chapter i apologise but it's necisary. it gets better from here i promise...

 


 “Would all students please report to the Great Hall Immediately.” The Professors voice boomed through the room. Messages like this had only been used once before in Hogwarts history, when a girl was murdered in the second floor girl’s bathroom.
