You used to make me walk bare foot through the sand, hot as ember red coals in the afternoon sun. I would never complain, because for you I would do anything; even die. You never believed me when I said I would die for you, but I did. You didn’t believe the messenger’s words until you saw my coffin. When you cried, I know you couldn’t feel it, but I wiped away your tears.  Another thing I didn’t lie about was always being there for you, even when I wasn’t.
