I couldn’t help but think that she wasn’t the one who had the right to be angry. After all, I didn’t see her bag zooming across the courtyard leaving a green cloud in its wake.
 

Albus did however always show his Slytherin ambition, skilfully ending each “argument” with the upper hand; his victory signalled by something I came to consider his signature move...an adorable half-smile...

My mind seemed to spin through every different emotion, like a weird thought washing machine, before eventually settling on happy. Happy!

 

Do you wish me a good morning, or mean that it is a good morning whether I want it or not; or that you feel good this morning; or that it is a morning to be good on?

I heard him put the bottle down forcefully and stride over to me. “Why are you so quiet? Is everything ok?” His voice was tinged with worry, making it that much more difficult for me to answer.

I blinked stupidly at it for a few seconds, saying nothing. “I really don’t know how much more of these sudden appearances I can take, you know,” I finally muttered, looking at Albus, who had been watching my reaction with a bemused expression.

You could feel the anticipation in the air. I could have sworn I saw McGonagall's eyes pop slightly, an almost imperceptible moment of uncertainty pass across her face.
