I think part of me knew the second I saw him that this would happen. It's not really anything he said or did, It was the feeling that came along with it. But if you'd told me back then, when I was eleven years old standing on Platform 9 and 3/4, I'd be here, feeling the way I do about him now, I'd have laughed in your face and told you to go back to the mental hospital.
 
 
 

"I grabbed Scorpius and made to drop to the floor, but we were too late, the light cannoned into us, knocking us backwards into a display of Decoy Detonators.

"Where are we going to sleep? I will not share a bed with you, Malfoy."

Sometimes I will put off doing something for so long I will forget I ever had to do it until it slaps me in the face. On that particular day, the anti-procrastination god decided to deliver one such a slap. This came in the form of my mother walking through the great oak doors in front of Scorpius and I.

 

“Rose!” She called excitedly, spotting me and giddily jumping up and down to try and see me over the heads of an extremely tall group of seventh year Huffelpuff’s.


"Mum." I said weakly
