Being a werewolf, I suppose, added to their fear of me. And their hate. I could ruin their lives; turn them into a monster that no woman would dare approach, have them in such a state that yellowing nails and teeth were a gift when compared to my own slowly brown ones. And I felt it a necessary human duty (or inhuman in this case) duty to do the same. I did follow through with that, obviously. The fear wouldn’t exist if my words were full of hot air alone.
