The man smiled, “Of course, I am sure your benefactor would like nothing more to hear about how you are doing in your new school.”

She furrowed her brow, “New school? Where am I to go?”

His eyes twinkled, “Mara…has anything…unusual…ever happened when you were scared or angry?”

She blew me a kiss and winked, “You think Teddy would have the brains to plan any of this.
Please he was a Gryffindor!”

“Dom, YOU were in Gryffindor!” came his exasperated response as if he was sick of hearing this.

“Yeah, but I was like an undercover Slytherin, the hat wanted me in Slytherin, and I talked my way into Gryffindor cause I knew I could do more damage in there,” she explained animatedly
as if we had not heard this story a thousand times.

Freddy sighed, “But that’s the problem…you don’t expect anything from us Mara and that’s what scares us. That’s why we have a hard time with you being so far away, because you won’t ask us for anything even if you need it. Dom’s right, you should be selfish…we all are. I’m glad you came. I know you are going to go back…but I hope whatever it is, won’t keep you from us years at a time.”
