Chapter Three “Please, Blaise, let me go,” she begged glancing behind him to see where her estranged husband was, but she could not see him among the crowd and the fear was beginning to build up. “This isn’t the time nor the place for this.” “Astoria is behind this, isn’t she?” Blaise demanded softly. “Give me this much and I will let you go.” |

Chapter Five “I’m as happy to see you as I would be allowing a vampire to enter my home,” she growled producing her wand and pointing it angrily at him. Her blue eyes darkening as storms on the horizon. “I’m not the sweet, innocent girl you destroyed Blaise but then, that is what all you Slytherins are good for. First Hermione, then me. I am sure that is a record for you and Malfoy.” |

Chapter Seven “Rose belongs to you,” Hermione announced reaching into her purse to remove a picture of their daughter along with papers of blood work she had managed to get with the help of a few friends working in the wizarding hospital. It had been difficult at first seeing as her husband rarely needed any blood drawn but there a bit of luck right before Rose had been born. One of them had found that her husband come in for something and blood had been drawn. Her friend had managed to get a sample that had been used as a comparison for Rose. |

Chapter Eight “I suppose you would love the news I have for you,” Draco began moving away from the serving table and to the fireplace. “I haven’t told you about the soiree that I attended a few nights ago. It seemed that there was a need for a set of investors for one of the prominent potion’s department. The owner of said department decided to lure in several investors, myself included. Well, during my rounds of meeting his top of department, who should I come across? My dear estranged wife, Hermione. Wait, let me rephrase that: Ms Jean Logan.” |

Chapter Nine Draco leaned against the doorway watching his wife. He knew his next choice of words would cause an argument between them to ensue, but really, she left him with no choice in the matter. “So, tell me, wife, will you return home with me willingly or will you force my hand and all this dragged before the courts because I will do the latter if you give me no choice.” |

Chapter Ten “How dare you!” Hermione’s voice shook with untapped rage she felt at this very moment. Tears were gathering in her eyes at the implications in his words. They had cut her so deep to the core of her soul and she wondered if anything she would be able to recover any trust in him again. “How dare you threaten me with any legal action! I told you I would return to the manor with you but now I am wondering if the price you demand is too high.” |

Chapter Eleven “Is that any way to greet your lover?” He asked coming into the room. “Former,” she growled. She crossed her arms over her chest and shot him a glare. “This is my room, Blaise, get out!” “No,” he simply stated pausing in front of her. “Listen and listen well, Zabini: I want nothing from you,” she hissed. “You broke my heart once. You won’t get a second chance.” |

Chapter Twelve “I believe we have a discussion that needs to be fed between the three of us,” he spoke, “and I feel that you have the answers both myself and Cissy seek.” Hermione stiffened knowing the question that would only come in moments. “Tell me of Astoria’s role in this.” Four pair of eyes fell upon her as her mouth opened and the tale of Astoria’s involvement in the destruction of her marriage came rolling freely from her lips. |

Chapter Thirteen If there was one thing Narcissa Malfoy hated was the fact both she and Lucius had used underhanded tricks to gain the information necessary from their daughter-in-law over Astoria’s part in the end of her marriage. Of course, it had been well worth it. They had listened intently to Hermione’s numerous and suspicious account of Astoria’s often early arrivals to the manor to bring whatever she could that she had believed to be important. Hermione, on the other hand, had begun to suspect that this was the only way possible of gaining a foot into their lives. |

Chapter Fourteen Most of all, she missed him. Immensely. She missed the way they had been during the early stages of their dating and marriage. Part of her wanted to recapture that but the other half reminded her that there were still three of them, and until Astoria was removed from the picture, there would be no happily ever after. But what would it hurt to try anyway? |

Chapter Fifteen “Ah yes,” Clive remembered, “your relationship with the young Malfoy was considered traitorous even though his father came to offer his help to change the tides. As a member of the Order, I had heard the stories swirling around both of you.” “You were part of the Order?” Hermione questioned confused. “I never saw you at any of the meetings.” “No, you would not have,” acknowledge Clive, “I was one of the spies on the field and we reported to Dumbledore prior to his death." |

Chapter Sixteen “Where is your boyfriend Malfoy?” Ron sneered toward Zabini which only caused the former Slytherin’s lips to turn upward into a dark smile. “Spending time with his wife and child,” Zabini happily letting that little piece of information slip from his lips. He could see their eyes widened a fraction. “They’re still together,” Lavender Brown-Weasley seemed surprised by the announcement. “I would have thought that Draco would have grown tired of such a bossy, know-it-all.” |

Chapter Seventeen “The reason for the disconcerting is the fact the tumor sits on the part of the brain where her magical abilities are at. The tumor is enlarged and pressed down against that part of the brain causing her magical abilities to manifest at the oddest moments,” the healer explained. “If we can get the tumor down enough, we can possibly perform surgery to completely remove the tumor. Now, this does not mean there will not be complications. All surgeries have a complication to them and this one may be a bit severe.” |

Chapter Nineteen “Whoa! Pansy and Potter?” Blaise was the first to speak his disbelief at the situation. He had never suspected that there had been anything between the two except a deep and unbridled hatred toward each other. There were always sparing each other to defend each of their friend from the other. Yet, as the realization sank into his head, he still could not wrap his mind around it. All those months he had seen Pansy either sneaking off or returning late into the hours that she had been with Potter all this time. |
