Amidst a relentless squabble between Lily and James, Remus’ Time-Turner becomes the object of throwing. Predictably, the item shatters. Hasty panic fills them, seeing as it was Remus’ promise to his parents to owl it back within a week. Sirius’ persistent hurrying and Peter’s shabby spellwork do not add up to a very pleasant result, as the five see when the Time-Turner’s properties are reversed.
