She’d spent most of her childhood whirling in an empty salon chair, reading Spin, Rolling Stone, Entertainment Weekly and beauty magazines, waiting for her mother to be done cutting hair and doing manicures. Talking to boys about music was different. Armed with her drumsticks there was nobody in the world she was afraid of- rock star, groupie or screaming fan. But this was different.
