The day after Halloween night, DJ and Chowder were surprised at the house's neutral reaction; when trick-or-treaters walked on its property, it remained vacant and asleep. Because of this, the boys decided to sneak out at night, once again, to investigate the status of the living house. When a gang of bullies emerge and force them to walk directly up to it, though, what'll happen?

It's been two years since the events of the movie, and DJ has settled into his life as a freshman in high school. But as they say, adventure is always out there, you just have to go looking for it. Well, in DJ's case, it just might find him and his friends yet again...

This is a poem I wrote about monster house it just sort of popped into my head.

Sally McGiverns has been close friends with Chowder and DJ since they were very young. On the night before Halloween, the house across from the street comes to life and starts to eat everything that comes near it. Without the cops, or any adults to believe them, it's up to them, and their new friend Jenny to defeat the Monster House before it devours any trick-or-treaters.
