Ok, so this is a new idea of mine...umm...don't know exactly how this'll work out but here goes nothing! Hope you all enjoy! :)

Percy POV

It was a normal day at Camp Half-Blood. The sun was shining, the birds were singing, and monsters were howling deep in the woods.

The campers were doing a variety of activities, whether it be sparring in the arena, climbing the lava wall (which involved a lot of screaming), doing archery practice with Chiron and the Apollo cabin, or riding the Pegasi.

So all in all, a pretty typical demigod day.

One certain demigod, however, wasn't up and about at all.

Percy Jackson, son of Poseidon, and Hero of Olympus, was instead leafing through a beat-up scrapbook.

The scrapbook itself was nothing special. Just a worn-out leather cover, with the words MEMORIES printed on the front, probably by the manufacturing company. The pages were slightly yellowing from old age, so all in all a used scrapbook you'd find at a thrift store for $1.99.

No, the scrapbook's appearance wasn't the important part. No no, not at all.

The pictures, on the other hand, were priceless.

The images showed Percy, Annabeth, Thalia, Grover, and Nico in front of the Empire State Building, Percy and Annabeth kissing under the lake (the camera was waterproof), the Seven having a slumber party on the Argo II after they defeated Gaea...Many different times in a demigod's crazy, dangerous, chaotic life.

Percy smiled nostalgically. So many good memories...well, most of them at least.

Gently flipping the worn-out page, Percy examined the next picture - an image of Thalia hugging her pine tree and sticking her tongue out at Grover, who was laughing uncontrollably from the sidelines.

A knock at the door drew his attention away from the scrapbook.

He opened it to find none other than Annabeth Chase, daughter of Athena and his girlfriend, standing in the doorway, her blonde hair gleaming in the afternoon light. Her grey eyes were alight with amusement, which obviously meant that either A) Percy was doing something stupid or B) he left his Finding Nemo underwear on his bed. Percy desperately hoped it was the former.

"Come on, Percy, it's dinner time!" Annabeth told him exasperatedly.

Percy blinked in surprise. He turned towards the window and sure enough, the sun was already setting.

Laughing at the go smacked expression on Percy's face, she shook her head fondly. "Yes, Seaweed Brain, it's 5:30 already!"

He smiled sheepishly, scratching his head. "Yeah...I knew that."

Her grey eyes turned towards the scrapbook he was looking at. Her eyes softened considerably. "...You...you made a scrapbook?"

Percy grinned. "Course, why wouldn't I? You gave me all those awesome pictures I couldn't resist." He bowed mockingly. "Now, shall we, Lady Annabeth?" He offered his arm to her.

Said girl laughed. "Of course, Lord Percy, you're too kind."

Percy took her by the arm, and together, hand in hand, and laughing, they made their way to the pavilion.

A typical day for demigods, right? Wrong.

Poor Percy. He had no idea what was coming for him.

After a dinner of barbecue, fruit, and in Percy's case, blue Coke, the campers all headed back to their cabins for some well-deserved shut-eye. Hey, you'd be tired too if you spend the entire day training, training, climbing a rock wall that shakes and pours lava on you, riding flying horses and trying not to fall off, fighting monsters in the woods and more, right?

Percy and Annabeth made their way to the Athena cabin and pecked her on the lips. "G'night Wise Girl." He called, turning towards his cabin and raising a hand in farewell.

Annabeth smiled softly. "Night, Seaweed Brain." and walked inside, her footsteps fading as she greeted her siblings.

As Percy headed towards the Poseidon cabin, he felt a rustle behind him, as though someone was...following him.

Almost on instinct, Percy uncapped Riptide and spun around immediately, only to find nothing. He examined the bushes and the open fields. Nope, nada. He shook his head exasperatedly. My nerves haven't been right since the big fight with Gaea...Gods this is getting annoying, jumping at every little sound.

Percy put Riptide back in his pocket and opened the door to the Poseidon cabin.

He stretched his hands above his head. "Home, sweet home."

Slipping off his blue sneakers, he heard something coming from the bathroom. Instantly on alert, he took out Riptide and tiptoed towards the door.

"Gotcha!" He threw open the door only to find it empty. He sighed. This was getting old. Shaking his head once more, he turned on the lights and got out his blue toothbrush. He picked up the toothpaste tube when a mysterious voice behind him hissed, "Persssseus Jacksssson. You will pay for killing our ssssisters."

Percy felt a sharp pain in his head and felt his eyesight dim. The toothbrush and toothpaste fell from his hand with a clad dear and he saw the ground come towards him fast. And before he could react, everything went dark.

Aaaand it begins. I hope this chapter wasn't too short, but don't worry, this is just the intro.
