The noise she let out kind of sounded like she was clearing her throat; except this hurt a lot more. She tried to hide the blood on the hand she had covered her mouth with, but he noticed.
"Fiora... It's getting worse, isn't it...?" he cringed.
"...I cannot tell a lie... Not to you... Not anymore... I'm in so much pain..." she hung her head in shame.
"Why isn't the magic helping!?" he buried his face in his hands. "Why...? Why us, Fiora...?"
"Lord Eliwood..." she reached over, caressing his red hair.
He looked up.
"I haven't called you that since the Black Fang incident, have I? My lord..."
He was crying now. Silently, but the tears were still there.
The sight of his tears made her want to cry as well, but she'd learnt from being an older sister that she had to be strong in times like this.
"What about Roy...? The lad's only five years old... He can't..."
"Be strong...You've...you've got to...be...." Tears were streaming down her face, even after she'd promised herself she wouldn't cry.
"Fiora..." he sobbed, moving onto her bed and holding her close. "My love... Don't go..."
"Father?"
"...Yes, my boy?"
"Where's Mother?"
Eliwood froze. "Uh... She is..." he knelt down to look at his son in the eyes, "...She has gone to a better place. She's at peace..."
"Will I ever see her again?" Roy asked, his brow furrowed, tears at the edges of his eyes.
"Perhaps... In a very, very long time."
At this, Roy started to cry.
"It's alright, Roy. I'll take care of you..."
Yes, I know. I'm probably getting a million flames just for liking Eliwood x Fiora. But the truth is, they're cute together, and well, I DIDN'T USE NINIAN. AT ALL.
Fiora's awesome.
And Ninian deserves to live a long life in Paradise with her brother.
And as for Lyn, she and Kent forever :3
