Author's Note 1: It's a sad time to be a fan of the First Family. What with the FF no longer having a comic book of their own and Fox still being dicks about the movie rights. As such, I've decided to play What If and create my own version of an MCU Fantastic Four movie. As for when this takes place, it's after Captain America: Civil War and before Doctor Strange.
And to start off, here's the prologue (or pre-credits scene) to the hypothetical new addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe!
Belleville Nuclear Power Plant, France…
It was well into the night at the nuclear plant and a fifty-year old guard was into the second hour of her shift at the entrance control. Her tv was set on GNN as she ate some of her dinner. The news program was showing a picture of four twenty somethings in blue & white spacesuits. One was a lanky caucasian man with short brown hair and brown eyes. The second person was an african-american woman with short brown hair and green eyes. The third was a fit african-american man (who seemed to be related to the sole woman in the photo). And the final person in the photo was a tall bald caucasian man with blue eyes.
"(It has been one year since the disappearance of the Excelsior One crew. After the Chitauri Invasion of 2012, it was decided by the UN that more knowledge of space was necessary for the future. In particular, they were interested in the…)"
Suddenly, the power went out in the security booth and rest of the facility. The guard tried to tap on her tv to get it to work before everything around the power plant started to shake, followed by a loud bursting sound. The guard heard her fellow security officers running towards the south end of the facility. She grabbed her assault rifle and ran towards the south end, even as the security guards heard a faint explosion and screaming in the background.
When they arrived, the other guards were already firing up at something. Whatever they were shooting at gave a monstrous roar. The guards lifted the guns into the air, only to be shocked by what they saw.
"(Fire!)" One of guards yelled as they fired wave after wave of bullets, but to no avail.
And so, the last thing the guard saw a massive clawed hand coming down at them.
