"Ouch! Be more careful!" Johnny hissed through his teeth as he lay, unmoving, on the plush resort hotel bed.
"I am being as careful as I can." Stéphane insisted as he gently rubbed cool aloe vera gel on Johnny's lobster-red back.
"Well, be more careful. I feel like I took a walk on the surface of the sun." He groaned, burying his face into the bedspread.
"I told you that you should have put on more sunblock, chéri." Stéphane reminded him as his hands rubbed in the gel.
"Oh, shut up. I used to go tanning all the time. I didn't think it would be that bad." Johnny grumbled, his voice muted against the bed.
Stéphane gently worked the rest of the aloe into the burn before blowing gently on the gel. The cooling gel would only get colder with his breath on it. Johnny shivered.
"Mm... that feels nice." He murmured as Stéphane did it again. "That feels really nice..."
He slowly turned over, giving a grunt of pain and a wince as his sun-burnt back hit the cloth of the bedspread. "Okay, that doesn't..."
"Pauvre bébé..." Stéphane cooed gently, reaching up to run his fingers softly through Johnny's hair.
Johnny moved into his touch happily, smiling a little. "Are you okay though? We were out in the sun a long time, and you didn't put any sunscreen on at all..."
"I am fine, Johnny." He insisted, to which his lover opened his eyes to take him in.
"How is it fair that you didn't even burn at all and I look like a boiled lobster?" Johnny huffed. He would have crossed his arms and been more dramatic had he not felt like he wanted to die a little every time he moved.
"It is my skin." Stéphane tried to explain simply. "It is, how do you say it... ?"
"Olive-y?" Johnny filled in.
"Yes, olive-y." He smiled broadly, proud that he'd almost come up with the word. Stéphane was always so happy, it was infectious.
"Yeah, well, I hate you. You and your olive skin." Johnny insisted stubbornly, looking away.
"No you don't." Stéphane grinned, leaning in to press his lips lightly against Johnny's.
"Mmm... no, I don't." He relented, loosing himself in the kiss. Between the aloe vera's cooling effects and Stéphane's kiss, Johnny was sure he was well on his way to complete sunburn relief in no time.
