Her smile... Always burns into my mind.

Every time I close my eyes...

Every time I go outside...

Her memory is always with me.

The sweetest of smiles... That I may never see... Ever again...

... I'm sorry...

"~ey...! A~~ec! Hey! Look!"

I lifted my arm from my face and blinked away the intensity of the midsummer sun. There she was. Her long brown hair flowing out from under a white sun hat. Her smile capable of warming the darkest of hearts. The sweetest little girl I had ever known.

A handful of red tulips were forced towards my face as I sat up from laying on the ground. That smile again... Melting my heart.

"For you!" She giggled, then skittered to my side where she sat close by me, fixing her hat on her head.

I looked at the red flowers in my hand.

She ran her hand through the grass.

"What are they?"

"They're tulips."

"Oh... Do you like them?"

I studied the red flowers. "Yeah they're okay."

"I like them."

I let out a nostalgic hum from my softly smiling lips.

"Brother...?"

"Yeah...?"

She hugged her legs, holding her white dress down.

" Why do people have to die ? "
