Junior plays baseball and just one time when he swung the bat too early as the ball flew right to his eye, he got a black eye and Laura in the audience had to take him to his house so that his black eye can get rest for next game.

Junior's Black Eye - A VeggieTales Story

AUTHOR'S NOTE: I used to love watching VeggieTales on Qubo when I was little and also back when Qubo was actually a channel on television.

One day, Junior was playing baseball. He was watching the ball carefully and hit the ball with the bat successfully, until this one time he swung the bat too fast and the ball came right into his eye. He sobbed in pain because he got a black eye from the ball flying right to his eye like that. "Oh no!" shouted Laura, who was in the audience. Junior quit the game because of his black eye and also Laura was taking him back to his house so that she will report to his parents about the injury. "Listen," she says, "Mr and Mrs. Asparagus! Junior got hurt in baseball because he swung too early as the ball hit him in the eye!" "Oh, poor Junior," replies Junior's mother in response, "I hope that he's alright." "Actually he isn't, honey," responds Junior's dad, "look at him!" Junior's mom turned to Junior and then gasped in shock. "OH MY GOD!" she screamed. "Yep, told ya," Junior's dad replied. "Hang on!" Junior pointed out, "Can you please hand me that ice pack over here?" "Sure, Junior," his dad answered. He goes to the freezer and picks out an ice pack so to get Junior's eye to rest. "There, that should do the trick," he said, "now hold it over your black eye for a couple of minutes. As this time passes, then there will be no more black eye! Ok?" "Mhm," answered Junior. He then places the ice pack over his black eye for a couple minutes. Later, finally the black eye is gone! "Hey there! I'm all better now!" cheered Junior in joy. "Good!" answer Junior's parents and Laura, happily. Then they hear someone knock at the door. "Come in!" Laura says. "It's me, Archibald," says Archibald, "I think that Junior is now okay again to play some more baseball! Well tomorrow actually because the last baseball game today got closed tonight! So you're now fine to go to sleep and wait until next baseball game tomorrow! Okay?" "Yes, Archie!" answers Junior, "I'll see you there!" "Bye!" Archie replies, and then he shuts the door. So Junior went upstairs to his room to go to bed and then Laura leaves too to go to bed in her house. Then the two kid vegetables are asleep for the night.
