Ian used to take pills. He had many, many clocks all over his and Lip's room, an alarm clock set at the same time as the wall clock by the door, set at the same time as the digital clock at the desk. Thats why Ian had a clock as his background on his phone, and why he always wore a rist, and even set the timer on the Microwave.
Monica used to get so mad when any od the clocks went off, just because she was supposed to take medicine too, and she never took hers. So when Ian took his she would shame him, or ignore him, or throw a hissy fit crying and screaming and it would take Frank, Fiona, and sometimes even Lip to calm her down. Oh, and she called Ian, so, so many different cruel names that even though he took his medicine, he couldn't help but cry. But then, one day, she went too far. She attacked. Attacked Ian. Hitting him, clawing at him, biting and throwing things at him. But the words were just as bad, screetching and yelling at hin, saying things no child should hear or know of, much less be called it. Frank never showed too much affection for his children. And he never cried for, over, or with them.
But that night he did, crying so much when he bent to get Monica literally off of Ian, his tears wet his hair, and his nose was leaking and he and Fiona and Lip all had to get Monica off Ian and Steve had to come over at ass'o'clock in the morning to help. Frank around Monica's waist, Steve and Lip each holding Monica's arms back from throwing things at all of her children, whil Fiona was trying to block off Ian from the women's view. Mandy even came over, after hearing all the commotion, and had to help block off Ian. Carl and Debbie had saw it all, they had krept down the stairs to see why no one else was upstairs. After hearing what Monica had said, even though not knowing all of what she said, and seeing all the empty pill bottles and everything thrown all over the floor, they agreed on one thing. Never mention this, not to Frank, not to Fiona or Lip, not to Ian, and not even to each other. This was never to be spoken of again. They pinky sweared it.
After than, Ian put all his shots, pills and medicine in a box and lockimg it up. But not before shutting down and turning off all if his clocks. Mandy and Lip helpd him do it too. And Fiona let them, while Frank mourned of Monica finnaly leaving, after all this time and all that they did for her, and tried to stay sober.
Tried being the key word. His chest hurt for some reason as he heard all of the cries from each of the rooms upstairs, each child probably thinking he was asleep by now. It ws just too much, listening to it all, and he needed sleep. It was anything to help him drown out all the noise.
