Umma and Appa
xoxo
9-year-old Akaito skipped around the house looking for his brother Kaito. He heard that there was going to be a new kid around and he figured that Kaito would know the details.
He figured that Kaito would be near the kitchen, waiting for their "master" to open the fridge. However, when he got there, a bundle of cuteness crashed into his face.
Literally.
"Wah!" Akaito yelped as he fell backwards, his eyes closed as a reflex as he felt his back hit the floor. "…Ow…"
Then he heard gurgling and felt something wet on his shirt so he looked up. Wide and curious aqua eyes were the first things he saw.
"U-uh…"
Akaito stared stiffly at the younger child in awe before the latter gave him a bright smile and started giggling. Akaito gave a small smile back and started to relax a little. He had already long forgotten that this bundle of cuteness caused him to fall on his behind and started to thread his fingers through the toddler's silky hair.
The child cooed and started to rub against Akaito's hand like a cat, making the redhead smile.
"Umma."
Akaito tilted his head in confusion at the word. Perhaps this child didn't properly learn his vocabulary yet. "Umma?"
The toddler pointed at Akaito, "Umma!"
Then he heard a familiar laugh come from behind him and rolled his eyes. "What is it?"
Meito laughed again, "Well, "Umma" I'm laughing because you just got yourself a kid."
Akaito made a face and lifted the toddler into his arms before sitting up. "He's not mine you doofus."
The younger child decided to interrupt here and pointed at Meito, "Appa!"
Meito laughed even louder.
Akaito rolled his eyes once more, "Do you know what he's saying?"
"He said that you're the mom, and I'm the dad in Korean."
Akaito twitched at the fact that he was the 'mom' but he asked, "How does he know Korean?"
"I taught him of course!" Meito said while smirking.
…
It was then that Akaito knew that it was Meito who made the toddler jump on him and call him 'umma'.
The redhead put the child down onto the soft carpet floor gently before chasing Meito all over the house and into the backyard.
"I'M NOT A GIRL AND I'M CERTAINLY NOT GETTING MARRIED TO YOU!"
