3rd Person POV:

Camp Half-Blood was buzzing a lot more than normal. Especially since it was five o'clock in the morning. From inside her cabin, Annabeth could hear all the commotion going on but none of it bothered her. She lived in San Francisco for a good part of the year with police cars rampaging through the streets at four in the morning, so this was like a quiet bird chirping happily on her windowsill. Chiron, the Trainer of Heroes, opened Annabeth's door slightly to find that she has not yet woken. The old centaur sighed knowing what he was about to do was as painful as ever. He trotted into the cabin quietly and closed the door behind himself. He walked as quietly as possible and shook Annabeth's shoulder until her eyes popped open. "Annabeth," he said softly, trying to mask the worried look his facial expression wore.

"What?" She replied in a raspy morning voice.

"Put on clothes and meet me outside on the beach in fifteen minutes."

"Why?"

"There… there is something you must know about immediately." Annabeth nodded her head understanding that it was serious. "I'll wake up Percy." She said as she jumped down from her bunk. When she didn't get a reply from Chiron, she turned around and looked at him, bewildered. Chiron shook his head before he gave an answer. "Annabeth, dear, there is… no need for you to do so." He gave her a meaningful look, and Annabeth nodded once more. When Chiron left her cabin, Annabeth noticed that Chiron's face was full of sadness. "What could have happened?" She whispered to herself. She grabbed the first shorts and shirt she saw in her drawer and ran outs the cabin door bare foot. As soon as she saw the campers crowding the beach, she got a horrible sick feeling in the pit of her stomach. Annabeth jogged up to the crowd and hear hiccups caused by sobbing in different sections. She caught a glimpse of Silena and saw that she was sobbing into her hands next to Piper, who had several tears streaming down her face. "No." Annabeth whispered. She then started to push and shove everyone out of the way as she made her way to the beach. When she shouldered her way past the last line of campers, she saw a figure lying motionless in the sand. As she came closer to the figure, she saw extremely pale skin covering the well-built body. She glanced at the mouth that would never endear her with a smile again. She looked into the dead eyes that would never show any emotion ever again, and fell to the ground on her knees. As she continued to look at the dead body, she began to cry. Crying soon turned into uncontrollable sobs forced out by the utter poignancy that took over her body and mind. For the next three hours, Annabeth sat there sobbing over the dead body of her best friend, and boyfriend, Percy Jackson.

Hello, and welcome to the lovely (but tragic) world of my FIRST EVER PUBLISHED FAN FICTION! I am truly sorry for the first chapter, but I thought that this would be much easier to do then a bunch of flashbacks in later chapters. There will be more to come, and depending on how my brain wants my hands to write this it may get better or worse, for it is too soon to tell at this point. So as any other writer on this magical website might say... Please, please, PLEASE read and review, share with friends if you believe it to be that good and I hope to hear from all of you!

(Please note that I will not update for at least a week, or until I get 10-15 reviews... Whichever comes first. xD)
