Taming the Beasts Within

Takes place after the Pain fight and during the Fourth Great Ninja War. Naruto finds himself at a loss of words as his childhood crush admits her feelings towards him. Tsunade calls him to the tower and tells him he must go away for awhile and Sakura must accompany him while he tames the Kyuubi. We find out later about the beasts he must conquer. Read to find out.

This is my first time writing a story so please bear with me. I would appreciate some constructive criticism from the better writers. Thank you!

Taming the Beast Within

It was a beautiful, warm day in Konoha and Uzumaki Naruto was still laying in bed after a long mission in the Land of Snow. He finally had a day off from missions, training, and Tsunade on his case about paperwork. If there was one thing that he hated it was paperwork. Naruto snuggled back into his regular sleep position, which was basically in a fetal position, and attempted to fall asleep. But something was nagging at him from somewhere in his heart. He shook it off and decided to get out of bed. He went about his usual moring routine of showering, brushing his teeth, and getting ready to go out in pubic. He threw on his usual jumpsuit and put his headband on and went out the door not knowing where to go.

Naruto walked through the streets of Konoha as people greeted him with a smile. He loved that. It made him feel very...important to people. He dropped his head and kept walking while thinking of his past. While walking he bumped into Sakura Haruno. "Oh, hey Naruto!" She said with a gleam in her eye. "Hey Sakura-chan what are you up to?" he said looking at her with a happy expression on his face. "just taking a walk. Would you like to join me?" His eyes widened at the thought. "Naruto please walk with me I-I need to talk to you about something."

"Wh-what did you say Sakura-chan?" Naruto said in surprise. "Naruto, I know that I lied to you back in teh Land of Iron, but this is different from then. I said... I think that I'm falling for you. Ever since you saved me from Sasuke and I've seen you out training so hard to stop him and bring him back. I don't want you to have to do this alone Naruto." Sakura sat next to Naruto on a park bench awaiting a response from the blond. "Sakura-chan..." he started to say something, but was quickly cut off by Sakura scooting closer and taking his hand into hers. "Naruto, I understand that you may still be mad at me, but I really do love you." She said as tears began to roll down her cheeks. "Please tell me I'm not too late to be yours. I'm sorry for ignoring you during our academy days. I'm sorry that I was too weak to help you during our missions. I'm sorry that I-mph" She was cut off by the blond who started to cry from Sakura's words. She was cut off by a kiss from the one she desperately wanted to hold.
