Short one shot about Maggie and Eliot :) Please Review!

The first thing they bonded over was also the first thing they fought over. Maggie and Eliot had enjoyed pleasant conversation the first time they met, Eliot working a con notwithstanding. Now, however, they were arguing over whether or not the Salvador Dali painting in her museum was a fake.
"I helped authenticate that painting!" Maggie exclaimed, getting annoyed at Eliot's continued instances that he painting was not the original.
"And I helped steal it!" Eliot finally said, albeit a bit more forcefully than he intended.
"What?" Maggie asked after a moment's pause.
Eliot hesitated, the fight was over; he'd shocked it out of her.
"…It was one of the first paintings I ever stole. I took the original and left the forgery in its place. Damn good forgery too." He said, not as proud of his excellent heist as he would be had he been talking to a fellow thief and not his law abiding girlfriend.
"But, I authenticated it. No way it's a fake." She said, more shocked at being wrong than the fact that her boyfriend had just admitted to stealing a priceless piece of art.
"Check the back under polarized lighting, the guy signed it." He said, willing to let the heist be made known after so many years to win the argument.
A week later Eliot learned that he had mixed up the paintings. There was no signature.
"Oops." Was all he had to say.
