Author Note: This is my first "Body of Proof" storyline. I hope that you like it. In the show, Tommy is trying to reunite with Megan but she won't believe in them. Can he convince her to believe in them?
Tommy and Megan were sitting on her couch in her office. Tommy wanted her to tell him that she was giving him another chance but instead she let him go.
"I am not leaving here until you give us a chance." Tommy says to her as he moved closer "I am not giving up without a fight. We have the right to be happy and that's what I want."
"I have a daughter to put first and going thou this again will make it hard on me and for her." Megan says to him.
"You are just making excuses right now." Tommy calls her out on it. "Come on try again with me please."
"No Tommy. What we had is in the past and that's where I want to keep it at. Not in the present." Megan says to her ex. "Plus we work together."
"I know but everyone can tell that we had something going on with us and now we should live our lives to the fullest and not worry about the past." Tommy pleads with her.
"I don't know. Let me think about it." Megan says to him. Tommy nods and gets up and walks out of the room. Megan stays for about an another hour and then heads home.
Lacey was waiting for her mom to get there and smiles at her.
"How did your day go?" Megan asks her daughter
"It went fine mom. Have you talk to Tommy about wanting to get back together?" She responds to her mother.
"No I haven't because it would not work out." Megan tells her daughter as she sits down.
"Mom, you guys are so cute together. Give him a chance." Lacey begs her mom.
"I am starting to think that he is a bad influence on you." she tells her daughter.
"No mom, he is not. Just give him a chance. Please. Do it for me." Lacey tells her mom.
"Let me think about it." she said as the girls spend the rest of the night together.
The next morning, Megan wakes up to find it is time to get ready for work. Megan decided to go ahead and talk to Tommy.
"Hey, Tommy. Can I talk to you about something?" She asks after she spots him.
"Sure." He says as they walked into a room that is more quiet. "What's going on?"
"I want to talk about us." She says to him. "The reason that I am so resisted about giving you another chance is because of what happen to my old partner, Peter, when I care for him so much. I lost him and I don't want to lose you either. That's why I did not want to go into a relationship with you."
"I get that you are scared but we don't know that is going to happen. Just believe in us and give it a try." Tommy says to her.
"Alright." she responds to him giving him a kiss.
