It was a cool Friday evening in the Brisworthy woods.
The only light came from the glowing embers of a fire, which burnt as colourfully as the sun. Two girls sat around it, roasting marshmallows and laughing at something messed up that had happened at their school.
One of the girls was as colourful as a spectrum, and her blonde hair and tan glowed in the firelight. The other was less than colourful, wearing everything black, with blonde and plum hair. Her skin was so pale in comparison to her companion's that she looked like a vampire.
The tanned one was Lyra. The other, Maddi.
Theysoon ran out of marshmallows. And firewood... Suggesting they go find more, Maddi set off at a jog further into the wood. Lyra smiled, and suggested hide and seek.
They decided this was a good idea. They didnt know how much trouble they'd get in.
