Prompt #522 from tamingthemuse- Guillotine

Note: From now on most of my tamingthemuse stories will be named as the challenge.

Spike and Xander were in bed together. They had just finished having sex and were enjoying just being pressed up against each other. They held hands above the the covers, their eyes closed while they rested.

His hand cramping Xander moved his hand which gained the attention of Spike. Something was off that he'd never noticed before. Spike pried his eyes open and gently brought one of Xander's hands up to his face. There was when he noticed a long scar along the palm of Xander's hand. It was older. "Where'd this come from?" Spike asked.

Xander opened his eyes as well and showed Spike his other palm. "That was from saving Giles from having the top of his head cut off by a guillotine by grabbing the rope to stop it. That was a weird experience especially working with Sid the dummy." He noticed Spike was staring at him confused. "Oh, he was human but was cursed and turned into a ventriloquist dummy that could talk and move all by himself."

"You lead the strangest life," Spike commented. He kissed both of Xander's palms. "I find your battle wounds are sexy."

"So you won't get mad next time I get injured because a demon decides to play ping pong with my body?" Thw words fell out of his mouth before he realized what he'd said. He kissed Spike's chest. That usually distracted Spike. Especially when his tongue gently flicked Spike's nipple, just like so. It could send the big bad into a big pile of goo.

Spike moaned his eyes closing. Damn Xander for finding his weakness when they first got together. Now the bugger used it to his advantage at every damn opportunity to get himself out of trouble. Doing it because he cheated at The Game of Life? Fine. Doing it because forgot to pick up the Wheetie-bix? Great. Doing it because he just said something stupid about getting injured? That wasn't going to fly. Ever. "I'd rather have your skin flawless than to ever have you hurt. Even if it's just a bloody papercut. Do you understand?"

Xander leaned up and kissed Spike on the lips. "I love you too, baby. And I promise I will never purposely get myself hurt. After all I've got the big bad looking out for me, don't I?

"Damn right, you do," Spike agreed puffing out his chest a bit.

"I've never told you this but I find your scar." Xander ran his finger across the scar on Spike's eyebrow. "Very sexy. Even when you were trying to kill Buffy."

Spike looked surprised. "Really?"

Xander nodded. "I think it makes your baby blues pop."

"Thanks," Spike said shyly. Not that he'd ever admit that. Truth be told he hated his scar. Even though it was a battle wound from killing his first slayer he saw it as a flaw. It didn't help that Drusilla felt the same way. It was a relief to him that Xander liked it.

"Want to see my very first scar?" Xander asked. When Spike nodded he brought his right arm up revealing a faded scar that looked like teeth marks.

"What happened?" Spike questioned. He ran his fingers over it wondering how he'd never noticed it before.

Xander laughed before answering. "I stole Willow's Barbie when we were five. She bit me and then broke up with me. I learned my lesson to never take something without asking after that."

Humans were strange creatures Spike decided.
