Hello people! I am deeply sorry for my lack of activeness here, so here's a little oneshot as an apology! I'll try to update 'Goodnight, Nii-san' as soon as possible but before that, enjoy some feels. :3
Disclaimer: I own nothing but the words and edits. This is inspired by a doujin I read a few months ago. All characters belong to Hima-papa.
He had this feeling that today's the day. There's no reason or any form of explanation. He just…knew. So he grabbed his camera, dressed in a simple t-shirt and sweat pants, and went out of his room.
First he met his younger brother, and without any warning, threw an arm around the blonde's shoulder and took a snap. Showing it and teasing the still bewildered male on how idiotic he looked in the picture, the albino called out a 'see you later' and walked out of the house. He didn't have the heart to say goodbye.
One after one, he took pictures with all the people he had known, argued, joked, laughed, cared and loved in his whole life. None suspected anything, thinking that it was just one of the old nation's childish ideas again, and took the pictures.
Finally he went back home sometime afternoon, exhausted but having the biggest smile on him in his life. He flopped onto the bed, letting out a long, satisfied sigh. Soft breeze blew from the opened window and into his room, causing the curtains to move in a flowy manner. What a beautiful day, he thought, closing his eyes, pictures taken since the morning scattered all over his bed. He turned his gaze to each and everyone of them. Ita-chan, Lovi, Specs, Eli, Franny, Tonio, Ivan, Alfred, Eyebrows, Kiku, Matthew, Yao, Toris… Ludwig.
He smiled softly as he recalled all their names, the times he spent with them, both good and bad. It doesn't matter now. He placed the camera on the table and stared at the ceiling, suddenly grinning at himself. Today sure is a beautiful day.
It was already early evening when the younger brother returned home from work. He knocked on the older sibling's door, pushing it open when there were no responses. The room look peaceful, light orange sunlight shone on the bed full of pictures, the breeze still blowing softly. He picked out several photos on the floor, the pictures slightly awkward as the fun-going figure of the albino no longer accompanied them. He looked into the photo of himself, the place where his brother supposed to be, empty. And that was when he realised, as a lone tear fell onto the wooden floor.
Gilbert was no longer with them.
