Tonks followed the path that Charlie had told her about. She slipped in a door and saw a big mirror. That must be the one! Tonks thought. Charlie told her the big mirror showed what they wanted most. Charlie said he'd been Quidditch captain, and all his family was cheering for him, even little Ronnie and Ginny.

Tonks slipped in front of the mirror, to see her heart's desire. First she saw her, then her mother and father faded into the picture. She saw she was holding their hand. Slowly, her muggle grandparents faded in, playing with the muggle –y gimmicks. Then came her Aunt Bellatrix and Uncle Rodolphus, who were in Azkaban in the real world, with two children, who's faces were blurry. The children were screaming and having fun, and her Aunt didn't seem to mind. In fact, her Aunt Bellatrix seemed… Normal. There were no frizzy hairstyles or anything. She saw her Mirror Aunt Bellatrix cuddle her and give her a kiss. Then, her Aunt Narcissa and Uncle Lucius came in, cradling her son, three year old Draco. Suddenly, Her Grandma Druella and Grandpa Cygnus came in. And, surprisingly, were getting along with her other grandparents. Then faded in Charlie, and all his brothers, his baby sister Ginny, and his parents. Bill was chasing around Charlie and herself, who had suddenly gotten on brooms. Then her Uncle Sirius, who wasn't her Uncle, came in. He looked younger than the photos, and wasn't in prison. He was smiling broadly. He changed into a dog and ran around everyone. Tonks remembered he had gone to Azkaban; he was accused of betraying the Potters, his friends. Her mum said that Sirius would never do a thing like that. Tonks wasn't sure. She had only met him once when she was only little. He had been eighteen, a proper wizard. She noticed that everyone in the mirror looked happy. Every single person.

Tonks could hardly bear to pull herself away from the mirror. She wanted to jump right in. She stared longingly at everyone. A tear ran down her cheek. She wanted it to be like that.

Little did she know what peril would await her if she fought for it.
