A/N: Okay, so although it's in poetry format, it's not really a poem... Well, maybe... I just didn't know how to write out my feelings about that one word... But I wanted to write about it since I did the same thing today when I saw my big brother off at the airport.
Warning: A bit dark and OOC though I never know what Luffy is thinking; he's a genius yet an idiot yet can be both at the same time... Just way too unique for me to understand though some people argue that he's simple. Anyways:
'Good-bye'…
A word that you say when you never want to see anyone ever again.
Or at least that's how I thought of it.
So when Hancock said,
"I only desire that you leave… Without saying 'good-bye'…"
I thought, of course,
I wanted to see her again—
She helped me so many times
And is always fun to be around.
So, of course, I said
With a wide grin,
"Well, I've never said that to anyone anyway! I want to see you again, after all!
Well, then… I'll be off now! See you!"
As I said the things I normally say when I leave
And sat in the front of the little boat,
I remember…
I remember that one time
That I really did say good-bye…
That one time where I felt frustrated,
Fought messily
Yet of course won…
But that one time where I remember…
He helped me so many times
And is always fun to be around too…
But still…
I said it…
That one word…
I turned my back against him
And said that one word
Which meant that I never want to see him ever again…
"Good-bye… Usopp. It's been… fun."
A/N: Okay, so... Obviously, Luffy met him again after that and they became friends once more (it's just that I didn't know where to end the thought).
Anyways, I feel slow for just noticing it just now, but Luffy said to Hancock that he never said good-bye to anyone because he wanted to see them again.
But that one time at Water Seven, he did say good-bye to Usopp after the fight for Merry...
And if you were thinking about this deeply like me, then sorry but... Is 'good-bye' one word or two? It confused me.
