Chapter 1

"Alright class this term Hogwarts has decided to do a 'Taking care of children' class. So everyone get's a partner which I will decided and then they will pick a mousse basket, which has a real baby in it. Each pear will name the child and take care of it for six months," Professor McGonagall announced as she stood in front of the class. "Now partners... Miss Granger and Mr Weasley, Mr Longbottom and Miss Lovegood, Mr Potter and Mr Malfoy..."

"WHAT!." Draco and Harry yelled together standing up.

"Miss I can't work with Malfoy!." Harry exclaimed pointing to the blonde.

"For once I agree with Potter!." Draco shouted.

Professor McGonagall rolled her eyes and picked up her wand. "Listen the pear of you I don't care what you say. You two will take a basket and you can either I it or put up with it. I don't care just do the work!."

Harry and Draco shot evil looks at each other as they walked towards the front of the class. Harry looked at the baskets and shook his head. "Which one do we pick?."

Draco looked at one in particular. The baby inside had blonde curly hair, green eyes like Harry's and a beautiful smile. "How about him?."

Harry looked in the basket and smiled. "He's cute." Harry picked the basket up, then he and Draco walked back to his desk.

"Oh and by the way class when you name the child cheek if it's a boy or a girl!." Professor McGonagall said looking up from her paper work.

"We better check," Draco sighed taking the baby out of the basket. "I feel bad if it turns out his a girl and we call her a boy's name."

They cheeked and it does turn out the baby was a girl. "What should we name her?." Harry asked bouncing the baby girl in his arms. Draco thought for several minutes, writing names on a piece of paper:

Mary

Kate

Lizzy

Emma

Becky

Poppy

"I like Poppy," Harry stated looking over Draco's shoulder. "It's a beautiful flower and she has a beautiful smile."

Just then Professor McGonagall passed out birth certificates. "Poppy it is then," Draco agreed writing it down. "What about middle and last names?."

"How about Poppy Narcissa Potter." Harry suggested.

"Why has she got your last name?," Draco snapped. "We've got to make this fare Potter. I'm writing my name down."

"Now hang on..." Harry began before he saw what Draco wrote.

Name: Poppy Narcissa Potter-Malfoy

Parent 1: Draco Malfoy

Parent 2: Harry Potter

"Oh..."

"Come on pass Poppy here I want to hold her," Draco insisted taking Poppy from Harry. "Hello I'm daddy."

Harry couldn't help but laugh as he watched Draco make stupid faces and used baby talk to make the child giggle.

'Maybe this project won't be so bad after all...'
