We Carry The Weight
they fade so quickly
took only 26 times
to fill our lives
with something we
never knew we didn't
have to begin with
and in our adventures,
our tagging alongs,
we found ourselves
delving beneath the surface,
building to keep
the energy alive,
searching through the
growing darkness that
the rain has caused
the shattered pattern
turns as ships
go floating by
and the plot thickens
and people die
and we see the stars fade
and the enemy become unclear
and the love slip away
and the rose grow red
and the hero glorify
and the dog bark
and the girl cry
and the child leave home
and the man cut his trees
and the phantasm slip away
and the end
we are left with the flickering snow
of sorrow in our living room, in our basement,
on the couch, with holes in our hearts
you had filled once
and we carry our weight alone once again,
to Spike, to Faye, to Ein, to Julia, to Ed, to Vicious, to Jet...
to what is Bebop,
we miss you.
.........................................................................
Man...don't watch all the sad episodes of Cowboy Bebop at one
time. It's too damn depressing for your own good. Perhaps one of my best spur of the moment poems. I think it came out well since it's a nice new fresh perspective on the whole fanpoem thing because it is a fan poem. It's told from a fan's point of view about the ever changing series called Cowboy Bebop. Anybody know when the movie is coming out?
