"Code Red! Code Red! We have a trespasser within the perimeter of—"
"…Captain?"
"!"
Screams rang out that night and sirens were ablaze, as Central City prison was thrown into complete chaos.
Soldiers from Central command were called for back up, but they had no idea who they were looking for. The descriptions of the intruder had been very vague, and it was still unknown as to how he had broken into the high-security compound in the first place.
At Central HQ, Lieutenant General Raven had his hands full with one phone call after another.
"I demand to know what's going on there!" he screamed down the receiver.
"So far we have several casualties, all dead sir!"
"What kind of monstrosity…" Raven stared at the phone intently before throwing it down, "Who could have done this?"
While armed security guards raced around in a frenzied panic, others rushed to secure all of the prison exits.
"I think I saw him turn down this corridor!" a rather scrawny man leading a small group hurried ahead.
His teammates, all grown men, shrieked to warn him; but they were just a moment too late. Their leader was caught on the corner, his head snatched up by a powerful hand. In a cascade of red sparks and blood, there was a devastating burst as the man's skull exploded inside his skin. The hand, covered in blood, quickly disappeared, while the headless wretch that remained toppled over into a pool of red.
"How hard can it be to contain one man?" Raven exclaimed, as he was making his way to his car.
"We think he's using some kind of crazy alchemy, sir…"
"Alchemy…" the Lieutenant General frowned, placing a hand to his forehead, "I should have guessed…!"
"But why is this man lurking around Central prison? It has to be a conspiracy of some sort! Surely he's not on his own!"
"Don't be naive…" Raven scowled, as he plunked himself into the car beside his assistant, "The Ishval conflict was enough to show us the power of the alchemists we recruited to the State… what they possess can hardly be called human."
"…but to have taken such a frontal approach? He's either very brave, or just completely insane."
"That's irrelevant… I just want to know what this bastard is up to…" Raven sighed heavily, as the car began to move off, "Step on it!"
"Yes sir, General Raven!" replied the driver.
Hands covered in blood, Central prison's trespasser skulked around the dingy halls undetected for now. He had been successful in losing his pursuers, and now he could focus on what he came here for. Fortunately for him, it wasn't too difficult to find. Only one uniformed man stood in his way.
The soldier's face turned white as a sheet upon seeing the huge hooded figure making his way towards him.
"S-S-S-Stop!" he suddenly cried, shaking like a leaf, "You are under arrest—"
In one swift movement, the hooded figure lurched forward and his identity was revealed from under his cloak. Striking red eyes and tanned skin, with a ghastly X-shaped scar across his face.
"An Ishvalan?" the soldier cried in confusion and alarm; those were his last words, as his face was torn apart in a shower of crimson. He hadn't even had time to scream.
The now unveiled man shook the blood uncaringly from his hands, his expression remaining cold. He spared the disconfigured form a single glance, before pulling his hood back up and continuing down to the area where prisoners were locked up.
"Which one of you is Solf J. Kimblee?"
