The Unova Games.
Dawn ran to her computer as the tone for a video caller sounded.
'Caller: Ash.' Was flashing on the screen.
"Great!" She exclaimed, clicking the 'Accept call' button.
"Hey Dawn!" Ash said, smiling.
"Hiya Ash! What's up?" Dawn smiled.
"Have you heard of the Unova Games?" Ash asked.
Dawn thought for a moment.. She had heard of the Unova Games, they were a games tournament in which trainers and their Pokémon competed in their regions to win medals. They only happened every four years and she'd been asked to compete for Sinnoh! Each of the Competitors were given a yellow monitoring system that monitored their vital signs to check their health in the months leading up to the games, they also had to wear a green band around their wrists that linked them to the monitors and identified that they were competing. She was wearing one, but had kept her wrist down… She quickly scanned Ash's room for any sign of a monitor, no sign of one… She was disappointed, she'd received a Call from Brock the day before, informing her that he was competing. When she'd asked if he knew if Ash was going to be, Brock had said that when he had spoken to Ash a few days ago, he hadn't mentioned anything but Dawn had held on to hope that Ash had just forgotten to say anything…
"So?" Ash asked.
Dawn jumped, she had totally forgotten that he was waiting.
"Yeah, in fact, I'm competing." She said, lifting her arm to show Ash the band as she did.
His face fell.
"Great.. Um, Dawn… Do you think I'm going to be the only one of my friends who's not?" He asked.
"No! I'm sure that one of your friends isn't." Dawn Replied.
This didn't help, Ash looked obviously downhearted.
"I was hoping you weren't…" He said.
"What? Everyone's competing?" Dawn asked.
"Everyone who's old enough." Ash Replied.
"What does that mean?" Dawn asked.
"Brock, May, Misty… Everyone but Me and May's brother Max."
"Really? I'm sorry Ash, but I can't really pull out now…" Dawn replied.
"I wasn't expecting you to." Ash sighed.
"Well you can come and Watch." Dawn said, "There's still time for Entering, last I checked all the teams were full but there was one more place left for Kanto."
Ash shook his head, "Not any more, that spot was filled by Misty." He said.
