Smallville The 100th episode. What would have happened had Clark not had the choice to revive Lana.
Disclaimer: I don't own the show so please doon't sue.
At the crash site.
Clark stairs at the ambulance as it drives off with Lana's body inside. His love, his future, his heart was being taken away with that one vehicle. Lex Seeing Clarks face walks up behind him and lays a hand on his shoulder.
"I'm so sorry Clark. It wasn't meant to happen like this." Lex said sounding sincere only to be thinking about what it was he was trying to get out of Lana before the bus hit her car.
Clark tenses. "Get your hand off of me Lex."
"What?" Lex said apparently unaware that Lana had called Clark and told him what was happening.
"Get your goddamn hand off of me or I swear you won't wake up tomorrow." Clark said his face still looking after the ambulance, and tears running down his face. Despite those things his voice never wavered.
Lex just tightens his grip on Clarks shoulder. "I am here for you. I am your fri…." the last word never left his mouth as Clark, forgetting who and what he was, spins around and back hands him in the chest. The hit sent Lex sliding thirty feet, and the only thing that stopped him from going further was the wheel of one of a fire trucks.
"No! Don't you ever call me your friend ever again! She is dead because you wouldn't let your obsession with me go! If you would have just left all alone like you should have she wouldn't be dead in the back of an ambulance right now!" Clark takes a step forward to finish what he started with the one hit.
Jonathan and Martha Kent, standing not far away, see the scene between Clark and Lex unfold. Jonathan seeing Clark go to take that step runs to his son and grabs his arm.
"Clark don't son. Killing him won't bring her back." Clark hardly registering the words of his dad takes a step toward Lex. "Clark, son, don't." His dad says again, and this time Clark hears the pleas of his father.
"Dad I can't let him live. He killed her, because of his obsession with me, his need to know things that don't have anything to do with him. Because of that she is dead. Lana is dead." His voice broke and his body went numb as that realization hit him for real. His vision went blurry as tears filled his eyes, and uncontrolled sobs escaped his throat. "Oh god she's gone. She's really gone." He said as his knees collapse. "Why, why, why, why, why…?" He said as he repeatedly hit the ground not caring who saw him. He stops hitting the ground to look up at Lex who was struggling to his feet.
There was only one thought running through Clarks mind right then. Lex must die. Clark stands, but instead of going to Lex or his mom, dad, or anyone else Clark, using his super speed, runs off to what destination even he wasn't sure.
As he ran Clark thought of what he was going to do to Lex when he got a hold of him. I'll show him what he wants to know. I will show him how I can see through him to his skeleton when I pick the most painful bones in his body to break. I'll show him what he wants to know when I sever every main artery with my heat vision instantly burning through the skin and cauterizing the wound so he won't bleed to death too quickly. I will show him how I saved his life when I rip off his fingers one at a time. I will show him, and then he will die…. Lex will die.
