Once upon a time Emma loved Neal. She would have done anything for him, but she had felt so heart broken that she shut her heart away and vowed never to love anyone like that ever again.
She thought that she would never see him again and that he would be out of her life forever, and more importantly she didn't want him in her life with Henry.
She felt awful about lieing to Henry, but what else was she supposed to do?
What was she supposed to do now that Neal was back in her life?
He was staying in New York.
He had made it clear that he didn't want anything to do with storybrook or Gold.
But he had her number, and he wanted her to visit with Henry.
She chewed down another piece of cheese cake and sipped on her hot chocolate. David approached her.
"Are you okay Emma?" He asked.
"I'm fine." She mumbled as she scrapped the fork on the plate.
"If you ever need to talk about anything, you know I'm here for you. I'll always listen."
She glanced at him. Months ago he was just a stranger but now he was her father. Prince Charming. She shook her head.
"I'm fine, thanks though." She scooped up another piece of her cake, and started to walk out the door.
She was met head on by a familar face.
"Hello Emma." He said.
"August." She replied. "You're better..." She glanced at him, he was in perfect condition, she no longer saw the wood arms or legs, he was just handsome August.
"Yes. I am thanks to you." He kissed her on her forehead.
"What are you doing here?" David asked him.
"I am back to complete some unfinnished business, more importantly I need to see my father."
"He's been very worried about you." David said.
"I'm sure he has." August glanced down at Emma. "Would you like to go for a walk with me?" He asked.
"Sure, why not." Emma said. August held open the door for Emma, she walked out first and he followed behind her.
