"Ahh, school. Home to kids who have problems at home."
"Please shut up, Jasmine. We get the point, your happy to go back to school."
"Crap, gotta go guys. My dad's yelling at me to get off the video chat. See ya tomorrow."
And the long-haired boy clicked off the video chat, his face dissapearing from the four-way video chat between the friends.
High School was beginning tomorrow once again after a long (and humid) summer, kids and teens ready to return, teachers glad to be able to torture students. But some students weren't too happy... Who am I kidding? There's only three different students happy to be back, and that could be written off as them being insane.
"Well, Roark's gone." One of them said.
"Since when does his father yell at him for the video chat?" an annoyed-looking teen responded.
"You guys are so insensitive." The girl, Jasmine, snapped at the two guys still on the now a three-way video chat.
"Your bringing this up now?" the annoyed teen replied.
"Shut it, Volkner." Jasmine snapped again, glaring at him.
"You guys fight more than a cat and a dog."
"You shut it to Afro-Freak." Jasmine glared at him for a second before sighing. "I gotta go or my mom's gonna murder me. 'Night guys, see you tomorrow." She added on, clicking the video chat to close. Her face dissapeared from the screens of the others.
"Why does she always have to call me that!?" The one guy whined. He was Flint, and he really needed a haircut. He liked his puffy red hair, ignoring the fact that no one else did. "Well, I gotta go too."
"VOLKNER!"
"Shit. My dad's calling me. Gotta go." And then Volkner clicked off of the video chat.
Flint laughed as he did. Every time Volkner was on the video chat it always ended with his dad screaming at him about something. With a sigh, he shoved himself away from the desk, the rolling chair sliding back and colliding with the wall oh his bedroom.
Jasmine curled up in her bed, turning on the lamp as soon as her mom was in bed and grabbed a book off of the floor, her thoughts filled with thoughts of her dorky friends and how the year would be.
Roark sighed as he clicked off his computer, making sure that it shut down before he decided to go to bed. He knew it would be a long day tomorrow, filled with taunting and teasing until someone--Jasmine, Flint, Volkner, one of his friends stood up for him. But when they did it just brought more teasing the second they were gone. With troubled thoughts, he went to bed.
After enduring about half an hour of a lecture from Lt. Surge, his father, Volkner went to his room and locked the door, even though he knew it couldn't keep his father out of his room--heck, the man could break the door in if he wanted to.
Hopefully the paranoid guy would knock for once instead of just opening the door...
School... Teasing... Bullies... Annoying parents... Dorky friends... Teenagers... High School...
Yeah, it starts tomorrow in a small town (or a large town, depending on how you look at it.). No one, other than the teachers, are really happy to go back to school. Kids and teens want to be free, in the freedom of Summer, goofing off and ignoring parents. When school comes back, so does stress and annoyance and bullies and angst when the relaxation is gone...
