THE WEDDING JITTERS
Disclaimer: I don't own any of the characters. J.K. Rowling owns them.
"Hey Hermione!"
Hermione heard someone calling her but she didn't turn around. She knew who was calling her. She just didn't turn around because she's furious at the person who was running after her. Draco soon finally caught up with her slightly panting.
"Hermione, I…."
Draco haven't got the chance to explain because Hermione interrupted,
"NO! Just don't Draco. Just save your time and breath because I won't take your apology. I don't care anymore. I know you don't. So, I'm sorry. Merlin! I don't even know why I'm apologizing. But yeah, goodbye and I'm sorry."
She started crying hysterically and knelt on the floor. The surrounding students started to notice the Gryffindor Princess sobbing while the Slytherin Prince is shocked as hell. Draco glared at the onlookers so they'd go away. Draco bent down to Hermione then tried to comfort her.
"I'm sorry 'Mione. I'm very very sorry. I know you might not accept this but I…"
Draco didn't have the chance to finish his sentence because someone grabbed Draco by the collar and threw him to the wall. Someone grabbed Hermione and said hushing words to her to make her stop crying. It was Ginny. While Hermione stopped crying, she saw Draco pinned to wall by her fellow Gryffindors. He's so bloody that Hermione jumped up and started to run to his aid,
"RON! HARRY! STOP! PLEASE DON'T!"
They stopped for Hermione's sake. Draco started to approach but another fist collided with his bloody nose that knocked him out cold. Hermione was snapped out of her reverie when the minister said,
"You may kiss the bride."
Hermione turned to her groom, her husband. She smiled because she knows that she'll spend her life with him.
"Hey! Hermione Granger-Malfoy! I love you!"
Draco said when he leaned in to kiss his bride.
"I love you too.", then Hermione replied.
It's been years since that uneventful encounter and Hermione doesn't know why she remembered that in her wedding day. But anyway, she still loves Draco Malfoy, her husband and nothing can take him away from her. And everything is fine anyway. Her friends are in good terms with his friends and vice-versa. Maybe it's just the wedding jitters, she's just experiencing? She smiled to herself when they walked down the aisle together hand-in-hand.
