Shoelaces

"Oof" Sonny tripped over her blue shoelaces and felt someone with very nice muscles catch her.

"Thanks mysterious stranger!"

"Um, Munroe, it's me, Chad." Sonny turned bright red and mumbled something incomprehensible.

"You should probably tie your shoes Sonny, you don't want to trip on them again, especially if there isn't a handsome, strong, amazing person like me there to catch you." Sonny just rolled her eyes and watched in amazement as Chad bent down and tied her shoelaces.

"What was that for Chad?"

"What was what for Sonshine?" Sonny was really blushing at this point and wishing with all of her heart that Chad didn't think she was a fool.

"Why'd you tie my shoes?"

"Well, as I said before, you wouldn't want to trip if there wasn't a handsome"

Sonny cut him off and said,

"I know, strong and amazing person like you." Chad smirked and replied cockily,

"So you agree that I'm a strong and amazing person?" Sonny glared at Chad and replied, "Welllll, I wouldn't say that I agreed but I would like to say that you obviously enjoyed catching me, I mean really Chad? Holding onto my waist for that long?" Now it was Chad's turn to turn red.

"Psh, I didn't hold your waist, why would I? It's not like you're smart, or pretty, or funny, or have the most amazing hair…" Chad trailed off and then clapped a hand over his mouth as he realized what he had just said.

"You really think that Chad?" Chad smiled his real, not fake smile and said,

"Of course I do Sonny of course I do. Do you really think I'm amazing and strong and handsome?" Sonny smiled hugely and said,

"Yes, yes I do."

They both leaned forward spontaneously in an explosion of sound and light. They both pulled away and smiled at each other.

"Munroe, I'm very glad your shoelaces were untied today."
