Elegy For The Wolves

A/N: I don't usually write poetry. Even less do I consider posting it (like never). This is just some random tribute to the Shinsengumi (I'm not obsessed, honest) that I came up with one English lesson. It's really short, but enjoy if you can. Reviews welcome.

Oh what became of Mibu's Wolves?
Isami's pack no more will run
Through bloodied streets in search of prey
No more to bay at moon or sun.

Defenders of a dying cause
Have disappeared with summer's heat
The haori worn with fierce pride
Have vanished from Kyoto's street.

The crimson flag no longer flies
Courageous blood has ceased to flow
Swords lay idle in their sheaths
For death has claimed the Miburo.
