Always There.

A Wallflower Fanfiction

It was barely visible, but it was there.

It was quiet and stolen, gentle and lingering.

It was rough and tumble, I-HATE-YOU and arguments that lasted a fortnight.

It was gentle apology's and kisses that made it all better.

She made him dinner, and he entered, and she laid it on the table, and he ate in silence, with the occasional stolen glance or murmur of thanks, and she rolled her eyes and watched him eat with as much pleasure as she could gain from such an experience.

They stayed up as late as they possibly could, watching the sky from her aunt's balcony, because the darkness that cloaked the land beyond soothed her, and just being in her presence soothed him into silence, and nothingness.

And it was there.

It was barely tangible, barely noticeable, barely sane.

But it was there.

They ranted and yelled and screeched at each other, and the others hid in fright, but their eyes blazed with intensity and hungry passion, and soon rage and anger were forgotten emotions and it was there again when they pressed their lips shyly, clumsily together and faced up to it.

Sunako and Kyouhei were highly unusual and as a result, many didn't understand their relationship, how two so different could have ever come so close into contact with one another, how two so very different could be so close to each other.

But that was okay.

Kyouhei and Sunako knew, a silent realisation that they had come to.

It was barely visible.

But the love was always there.

It was quiet and stolen, gentle and lingering.

It was rough and tumble, I-HATE-YOU and arguments that lasted a fortnight.

It was gentle apology's and it was kisses- and that made it all better.
